These next few pics are from the big ‘Ramp Festival’ we had here at the Lodge.
This is Eulene stirring up a batch of eggs with ramps. If you don’t know, ramps are wild onions. Some say the best tasting onions in the world!
We had an all day horse shoe tournament and elimination, also a river duck race… which was just too fun, and funny!
There were two bands, clogging, square dancing, and tons of fun.

Ride To Remember

Today we had an event called Ride to Remember involving the Cycle World. It was to raise money for and to remember the events of 9-11, the firefighters, policemen and those who protect our country. About 500 bikers left Athens as a group and ended up at the Hiawassee River Trout Lodge. Cycle World fed a group of just under 1000 bikers.
They all enjoyed sitting by the river after a long ride.
